Dress Code & Gift Suggestions

Suede kippahDress code for the morning synagogue service is jacket and tie. Suits are common, but not required. Men should wear a head covering inside the synagogue- we will supply a tasteful burgundy keepsake kippah, or you can wear your own hat.

Dress code for the evening party is comfortable semi-formal. There will be DJ dancing at the end; wear shoes you can dance in if you’re interested.

Re gifts for Gil, your presence and support at either or both events is, of course,  the best gift of all. If you wish to go above and beyond-

  • Cash gifts are the most flexible. It’s a nice touch to do an amount in a multiple of 18- it’s the numerical value of the Hebrew word Chai, meaning life or living. If you wish to write a check, it can be made out to Gil Adams.
  • Gil would like it to be known that he has an Amazon Wish List, meaning that an Amazon gift certificate would also work.
